Artifice is a nonprofit hybrid platform and production studio that creates digital and material media experiences.
Through public programming, exhibitions, and performances, we present works across technology, art, and design.
Our programming is structured through two curatorial formats:
BLACKBOX, which presents time-based media including audiovisual performance, new media film, generative art, and live-coded experiences.
WHITEBOX, which features installation, sculpture, fabric, and movement-based works that center materiality, spatial storytelling, and embodied engagement.
Each chapter unfolds through a set of ARTIFACTS: six distinct representations of a shared theme or narrative, selected for each box. These can take the form of performance, installation, film, design, or hybrid works—each offering a unique lens into the chapter’s conceptual focus.
In parallel, Artifice also operates as a design and creative services studio, offering visual direction, event production, and storytelling strategy to mission-aligned partners in the art, fashion, and tech space.
Through public programs, open calls, artist interviews, creative production and a digital archive, Artifice fosters accessible, interdisciplinary engagement across local and international communities.
